i've now sorted the handbrake light which turned out to be a sensitive brake fluid sensor, as for power problem i've narrowed it down to the ecu or the injector pump, my questions are should the injector pump make a loudish buzzing noise which can be heard with the bonnet closed 5 feet from car...

i've just come back from cornwall in mine and got 25.6mpg but i wasnt going steady on the motorway there and back which is fairly hilly on the a30 and it was rural / town driving all week. i got 430 out of the tank but i filled it up before it was on red.

halfords charge the earth sometimes, go to a local car spares place, it'll less than a 5er, paddocks do the full kit for 7ish i think but theres delivery on top.

you'd be surprised, theyre always out round here chasing those idiots on mini bikes who inturn make other peoples lives difficult who bother to tax, mot insure etc and get tarred with the same brush :mad:
