    General Grabber AT2 4x4 in 18inch

Changed my 18" Wranglers for a set of 16" Grabber AT2's. No difference in noise levels that I can notice but the 16" much more comfortable. Wranglers would not cope with snowy/ icey conditions at all whereas the AT2's plough through everything. Now wouldn't consider anything else - best tyres I...

    Heater Motor

Went over a bump in my Rangie and there is now a very loud noise from the heater fans. I presume that the motor is at fault which must mean that the dashboard has to come out. Has anyone done his job - what is the best way.

    Grabber AT2's

Just fitted these to my Disco to replace the goodyear road tyres. Performance on road much much better than the goodyears. Not tried off road yet but all the reviews are good in this respect

Spare wheel carrier on a classic

Standard 205 16 - but can't see any reason why bigger wheels/tyres would be a problem

Spare wheel carrier on a classic

I honestly can't remember how much it cost - it was 4 or 5 years ago. It has been on the car all the time on all sorts of roads and never given me a problem. Tend to dismantle once a year to grease the moving surfaces. It was supplied with very easy to follow instructions and fitted perfectly...

Spare wheel carrier on a classic

I also have air suspension so the only option I could find was a swing away carrier supplied by pivlock - Bullivant Engineering :- Makes of Pivlock Found it quite easy to fit and has now been on the car for about 4 years with no trouble. I also think it looks pretty smart.

    Electric cooling fans

Thanks Kev, That pretty much confirms what I thought. Probably take the Visc off for the winter and see how it goes

    Electric cooling fans

I think they are pushing air from the outside through the radiator - whereas the visco unit pulls from the outside. Looks like the twin electric fans are mounted on the radiator but will check when the weather gets better

    when filling up with perol

Nothing wrong with your vehicle - mine does exactly the same with all UK pumps - but in Europe no problems at all - can set the pump to maximum and will only cut out when actually full

    Electric cooling fans

Hi everyone. I am considering fitting electric cooling fans on my classic LSE instead of the viscous unit. My question - as the air con no longer works and I really do not intend to fix it - can the two electric fans which are on the air con system be used instead to replace the viscous unit...

LPG tank not filling up fully

I had this exact same problem when I had my system fitted. Came down to the tank being mounted at the wrong angle making the fuel level sensor reading full at about half tank level. Worth checking - especially if you have air suspension like mine.

    16" or 18" wheels?

I have 18" alloys on my Disco 2 V8 and 16" alloys on my old RR Classic. As far as I'm concerned the 18" follow every rut in the road and becomes an extremely uncomfortable ride whereas the 16" ignore ruts and the car drives straight and true. Apparently other people who use 18" wheels have the...

    classic anyone?

Hi I've enjoyed driving a 1993 LSE for over 5 years now. Fantastic vehicle and very little trouble. Deals with the Polish roads and winter weather a treat. 4,000 Euro seems a fair price if it's ok. I would say go for it but check the electrical systems first. Also the rear tailgate tends to...

    Lpg Mpg ?

I'm getting about 18mpg on petrol in my Disco II ES - expect about 16 mpg on lpg when I convert (using the example of my 4.2 Range Rover which is already converted - does 17 mpg petrol/ 15mpg lpg). With the price difference of lpg this makes for considerably cheaper running costs over either...
