ebay- is it me being stupid

To be fair the description doesn't mention the lights but this does make the picture misleading! On a side note it could have been the "fresh coat of pain" and not the couriers that brie the bar! :-P

Radio / Cassette keeps asking for code......

A couple of weeks ago my neighbour kindly put my bin out and in the process smashed my indicator lens. I didn't mind too much as they needed replacing and had already ordered replacements. The next day after some rain when I tried to start the motor it ran really roughly and cut out, and the...

Clutch slipping only in high gears!

Hi all, I have searched and can only seem to find answers to consistent problems! Below 40- 50 the clutch seems fine and the performance is brilliant, however go on to the motorway and the signs are there for a slipping clutch, revs go up, then down, then up, then down and then acceleration...

Best way to remove oil stains.

I have found best thing is full fat coke (about a cans worth) mixed with the contents of a biological washing tablet, brush in with an old tooth brush and leave for about an hour at least and then rinse away, works every time!

Hi all, As the title suggests I have today suffered with a stuck 300tdi alternator. Having sprayed with some spray grease, (After removing the cambelt!) the alternator is now spinning freely. Would this be okay to reuse or would you recommend a replacement? If replacement does anyone...

Clutch done but now no rev counter

The rev counter is controlled by a wire from the alternator on the passenger side of the engine Have a look and see if there is a lose wire and clip back to the alt and it should work!

    Possible oil leak cause

As for my leak I think I have traced it to the rocker cover gasket which had split at the back. Have replaced the gasket but sheared the bolt tightening back on (well within tolerances) does anybody know the part number for the bolt part that the rocker cover nut attaches to? Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the reply, I actually bought the Halfords Pro Ratchet spanners yesterday morning which I am really please with. Bought some 3in1 penetrating fluid but I think it may be a moot point for some parts as the nuts for the rear suspension now look like this on the rear!!! Angle grinder...
