ANyone ever noticed steam or faint wisps of smoke comming from the heater vents? cannot smell anything burning so I am wondering if it is dust as the system has not been used in a while?

could it be the traction control? or DHC?

I noticed on my mates Vauxhall Omega, that their auto box has amagent in the bottom of the sump to attract all th iron filing that accumilate. can this be done when putting the sump back onto the disco gearbox?

Whats going to be the best shocks for my Disco 2 ES with SLS? I;ve looked at the Koni and the Cell dynamic ones, both look to me good. I knwo I dont need gas shocks as they could be too hards with the air suspension on the rear. any one any ideas? best place ot get them from?

My Disco 2 ES does not have the rear Aircon buttons in the roof can this sort of thing be retro fitted by purchasing the appropiate head lining etc?

My disco does't have the diff lock. THis doesnt bother me but was interested to know why some have it and some dont? is it only found on the manual version?

cheers mate, thanks for your time. I did get a warranty, however becuase it is not 'performance limiting' as the garage called it, ie with keys in it drives ok and suspension works fine, its not covered. lol

your correct its only when you put weight on the rear, any other time and the car is level and sits really well. It drives nice too so dont think there is a leak as such. I was wondering if it could be the Sensors on the chasis? but then again they would be in operation if the ignition is not...

only tried it with the engine off. phone landrover who said that its prob one of the rear air springs as they are 6 years old

Its almost as if a valve is opening as the car is fine when left, but stanging on the rear step for a few minutes you then hear a hiss as the suspension lowers. are there pressure release valves in the air bags?

Derek thanks for the response. When standing on the rear step or itting in the boot, the disco lets all of its air out of the air bags. once the lowering has started, it does not stop until the rear is at its lowest. I agree that starting the engine brings it back in line with normal...

Has anyone used these cross grooved and dotted discs? they looks kinda nice, but I am seriously wondewrign if they offer any advantage over standard plain landy OE discs. looking at doing brakes, inc brake lines on my disco 2

Hi, I've brought a Discovery 2 V8 and noticed that sometimes I get a noise from the aux belt area near the top. Are there any known issues with this belt and its pullies, ie tensioners that may need changing etc? regards
