mine does this and the alternator light comes on as well but i know i need a new belt cos my battery light flickers at tick over with all the heaters and lights on :eek:

take it back to kwik**** and demand a refund , you cant regass the system if the compressor aint spinning cos the belt is missing :eek: . the first thing they ( are supposed to ) do after refilling the system and checking for leaks is to run the system to circulate the gas . hope that helps

iv decided to get the proper parts and do it properly . iv been given a quote of £150 to do it all including the side of the boot floor upto the wheel arch and a small part in the wheel arch ( thats not including the parts ) so iv just got to sell the fiesta now to pay for it :mad: . is there...

i read somewhere that it only affects 4 wheel drive cars without a central diff ( cavalier 4 x 4 and peugeot 405 4 x 4 etc ) cos it "winds "the transmission up .

im down in south wales near cardiff if anyone can recommend someone cheap round this area :D

i have thought about that but she need s some welding on the side panel of the floor that runs upto the wheel arch so im thinking it could get expensive especially as im paying someone else to do it :( ( i could do it myself but i work 6 days a week and by the time i buy myself a tidy welder...

i think the alloy plate and even the marine ply have been priced out of my budget now so i might see wot the fitters in work can " lend " me :D ( i work for a bus company and they got loads of aluminium and steel panels in the workshop ) . its has made me quite angry tho that a big car...

i used black flexible bathroom sealant so i can only assume its got anti mould stuff in it :confused: This will sound daft but i assume you've checked all the seat pockets, under the seats etc for manky mackky d's leftovers etc .......... i know what my kids are like sometimes :rolleyes...

it usually means that your front pads are nearly worn out and the sensor is just about earthing out so its worth cheching them or it could even be your brake fluid level is a little bit low and when you brake its sloshing around in the filler and tripping the switch

iv noticed a funny smell on the inside of my 200 tdi for the last week and decided to investigate it yesterday . to me it smells like rotting meat so i thought perhaps a mouse had crawled up inside and died or something :eek: . after taking the roof lining out and most of the plastic panels...

the actual spring had snapped on mine , it fell out in my hand when i stripped the door down so i dont know where it came from and my local land rover dealer has been no help :mad:

is there any chance i can have a copy of the instructions as well please :D ? and where can i get the springs from ( apart from ebay as i am banned :o ) ? thanks

tbh i aint got a clue about in car entertainment but im assuming its an amp cos isnt a sub a big speaker ? and the thing im talking about is bolted onto the back of the 2 normal speakers and looks like this...

mines a 1993 model 200tdi and i got a small amp in the rear ( tailgate ) speakers , hope that helps
