    Engine disabled

Hi steve, you might have a neighbour with a home weather station on their roof they operate on 433 mhz, same frequency as a p38 immobiliser. I've had my car immobilised 3 times recently on my drive and my neighbour has a weather station on his roof. Solved it by having immobiliser facility...

Hi Ethan8, welcome to the fold, sorry but I don't know much about the 110 except to say that the old 2.5 non aspirated diesel is a bit gutless, go for a coil sprung 200 TDI model.

Hi - new to forum. 200Tdi expertise needed

Hi centraldefender, yeah can't see any problems with spares for your motor, get yourself to Driffield in May for the land rover owner international show and you'll get anything you need for a landy.

    newb with a p38

Welcome drag100, I reckon the p38 is a lot more complicated than your 50s or 60s Fords but it'll be a better ride and you'll be kept busy keeping it on the road. I bet West Slope Rovers having a good time in all that snow, my nephew lives in Eagle off Interstate 70 Colorado, beautiful country.

hey there help from scotland! :D

Hi beezertom250, check the sediment bowl, it could be full of crap, it'll be on your fuel line between your tank and the filter and if that's ok it must be your fuel pump.

BECM Locked and in an alarm state

Hi 4x4p38, just to let you know I got my BeCM back the other day after having the immobiliser unlocked from it and my car started first time after being stood for 3 weeks. I also had the immobiliser facility removed from my ECU and fitted a mk 111 RF receiver so I should have no more...

    imob fault help please

Hi deanbrandon, sounds like you have exactly the same problem that I had 3 weeks ago. I have a syncmate but that didn't do any good so after I tried everything else I had the immobiliser facility removed from the ECU and sent the BeCM off and had the immobiliser disabled. Got it back...

New here looking to purchase a dicovery or freelander

Oh I forgot to mention that you'll need to check the sills and chassis outriggers where they support the body as they rot there as well. I wish I had bought a good disco 300tdi instead of my current P38A, this things costing me a fortune.

    Just a quick intro

Hi dom141, welcome to the site, I think you'll be very lucky to find a series llA or pre 73 series lll in a roadworthy condition for £2000. I would like one myself for that price. Good luck.

New here looking to purchase a dicovery or freelander

Go for a Disco with a 300 TDi engine and a manual gearbox but do have a good look at the rear crossmember of the chassis and the rear floor area of the body and the front cross member as well. Take someone with you who knows landys and avoid something that has been used for off roading. I had...

    2.5DT oil filter leak

Thanks for all the info guys, but I reckon now that maybe if I can source a rubber seal that is a snug fit round the plastic cap and is flat in section like a washer and about 5mm thick that should make an oil tight seal and it shouldn't distort when tightened up, unlike the crap O rings do...

Hi Grrrrrr, thanks but I've already ordered one this morning from Island4x4 and the wife said she'd pay for it!!

    2.5DT oil filter leak

The filters that I have been using, all from different manufacturers, only have 1 large O ring and 2 very small O rings in the kits. The 2 small rings go on the bottom part of the plastic cap and the large O ring goes to the top to make the seal. There is another O ring near the top of the cap...
