I fitted a new pump yesterday and fuel filter took abit of time to get it running but got it running in the end when it did fire up it was runing on about 3 cylinders. My mate took it a blip down the road and it was firing on all 5 again as normal and it was fine this morning but then this...

my mate has rung me he got it running he said it was chugging on 3 he went a blip down road and its running mint now thanks alot Ratty ebay here i come LOL!

Is a 1999 mate as i say i have done the on and off thing with ignition like it says in the handbook but no joy

and what if my pump is constantly running?

And this is for the Discovery 2 TD5 sorry to be a pain just making sure one things for sure its going on ebay when its runing bloody thing.

so how do i perge it and how do i know when its purged because all i have got is the ignition on for 30 seconds then off for 15 seconds and repeat this 5 times thats in the handbook

No i did'nt fill filter with fuel i thought it would fill itself

And ive got fuel upto the injector i unclipped the pipe pulled it of and turned ignition on and fuel pumped out so the fuel is upto the injector

the pump is still abit loud yes and the filter is brand new i havent even ran the car with it on yet its like its trying but just won't fire up.

Ive got a Discovery TD5 the fuel pump was broke so ive changed the fuel pump and fuel filter and now it won't fire up ive done the 30 seconds ignition on and 15 seconds off thing five times and depressed throttle and turned engine but it won't fire up its trying and smoke is coming out of...

Ive sorted it i put a live feed to it straight from a 12v battery and it started humming away again then i plugged the plug back on and it was humming away and started so im a happy chappy it must have just jammed or something

One more thing the other day the green M and S lights for auto box were flashing on dash then ive just been out to try it again and there flashing now could this be anything to do with it???

I went out in it no probs what so ever then wife went out to it 2 hour later and it wouldnt fire up i went out told her to put ignition on and pump was'nt humming but the pump is only 9 month old.Any ideas please help

can anyone tell me where fuse is for fuel pump as i want to check it ant blown as the pump is'nt that old.

Ive tried a number of times thing is it was only 1 half to start off with now its both halves.

I folded my back seats forward to hoover under them the other day when i fold them back the base clicked in but the back won't click in any ideas????

Will 31.10.50/15 fit on my series ?????
