    Window works but error message!

Certainly got dashboard warnings and beeps whenever I tried to raise it, until the source of the jam was rectified. So it knew it hadn't shut when it stalled early.

    North Hertfordshire Calling...

A belated introduction - finally got a picture of the Land Rover... Anyway, hello from the North Hertfordshire mountains - sort of learnt to drive in Series 1 lwb many years ago, and wanted one of my own ever since. Had a Disco for a couple of years, now sold (for parts...), replaced it with...

    Window works but error message!

There is a rubber strip that the leading edge of the glass runs in - this had come loose on my P38, and stopped the glass short of lifting fully. Worth checking nothing has dislodged following fitting the new regulator... There is nothing like a P38 for silly things being a big problem!

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

I'd be interested in the meet & laning - if you have room for a local noob?

Zenith Carb is mine knackered possibly?

Googling Zenith Land Rover carb issues will help. And leave you very bewildered as to what to do. Currently in the same boat as you with my S2a and it's Zenith. Found a geniune unused original as a replacement, but many favour fitting a Weber instead (straight swap pretty much). Loads on...

    What will it tow?

Yes, subject to chassis being siund etc. However, you may, no, will, find a Discovery would be far less nerve wracking as a tow vehicle in modern traffic. And much the same cost to buy, far far cheaper to run.

    dosent want to move!

I have a P38 that at times does similar - in my case it's a sticking hand brake. If it initially shows resistance in one direction, a few inches the other way releases it. Steve

    Drop Plate Question

Thanks for the suggestions, going to grind it off and fit a new one (have one I never got round to fitting on Disco). Well, once it's run out of other things to break...!

    Drop Plate Question

Not sure how strong the welds on the fitting to drop plate would be if I needed to use the towing pin in a recovery (probably mine) situation, so bushing may not be the answer?

    Drop Plate Question

Hello - my first proper question, having found answers to everything else over the last 2 months as newcomer to joys of owning a Series Landy...! I have a 1969 2a 109 that started life (it would appear) with the Royal Navy. The towing pin fitting on the drop plate is quite badly ovalled and I...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Yeah, pretty local-ish, up in the N Herts badlands, looking out onto the dark plains (or Cambridgeshire as the inhabitants say). Only recently got the S2a, so new to the joys of real Landies! Steve

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Hi, coming out of lurk mode (hello!), like the Treasure Hunt idea if it's open to all? Have a late Series 2a (ex Navy), and a P38. Based in North Herts, keen to get involved in (legitimate) local goings on! Steve
