There are never any faults stored so I don't know what to...

    Three Amigo's

No tried to move them yesterday and they are all solid, sprayed them with penetrating oil (not WD40) will try again this weekend. The only thing I remember from when it started was the back brakes had stuck on ? lack of use and wet weather over xmas and when I drove off there was a loud bang...

    Three Amigo's

Before anyone asks I have done a search this and have checked the resistance of the sensors, all OK, have changed the brake light switch, which made no difference. My problem is the lights started to stay on a few days ago but will go off when the car has warmed up, and is switched off and...

    Brake drum stuck on

Had a similar fault on my 1.8 loud bang as brake released followed by a little binding, stripped it today and the nylon outer sleeve on the handbrake cable had started to break up and was holding the cable back. I removed cable from backplate and removed the offending bits, manually adjusted the...

    cycle carrier options?

Problem with wheel mounted as already mentioned is bikes can only go on way round due to overhang, Too much weight on hinges and you will still have problems with door opening bike wheels will jam against the bumper. For 4 bikes I would go for a good roof mounted system where the bike can be...

    td4 sport brakes

Had a similar problem with mine , when brakes are cold no problem but when warm the o/s caliper was slightly binding enough to get the disc feeling warm but not too hot to touch. Although piston could be pushed back fairly easily, suspected that the seals had gone hard so put new seals in the...

    bleed points

Hi Andy As far as I am aware there are only 2 bleed point on the freelander 1 is on the heater pipe coming out of the bulkhead, and the other is on the large bore metal pipe which goes over the bell housing. same pipe as on the mgf. there is no bleed point on the radiator, just need to make sure...

    brake pipe size

You need 3/16inch pipe for the freelander brakes, but the pipe connectors are metric. If you want long lasting pipes ask for kunifer this is a copper alloy, not pure copper because copper on its own work hardens with age.
