2 days before crimbo and my gearbox is dead luckily ive got replacement just aint fitting it in this weather and never done a range rover box either so its time to learn. but on the positive side brought isuzu to keep me going till i get my range bk on road !!!!!!!!

me and the wife loves rangie but gettin so close to gettin sold hope this resolves the problem

is there anyway ov gettin the fluid out of torque convertor and cooler while i got the sump off ???

did put dexron 2 in ist it suppose to be dexron 3

if breather was blocked wud this cause all these fluid problems ??

fluid browny red colour gunna replace filter and fluid again and do as u said check breather does this sound the way to start ??

lost drive replaced filter and auto transmission fluid done 400 mile no prob today lost drive again and dip stick blew out does this sound like filter blocked again ???

youre guess as good as mine give em a real car to work on they dont want to know not a bad job at all to be honest brought tools did job running perfect now not bad for a novice mechanic :cool:beer time now tho :D

no garage would change my diesel pump so changed it myself running perfect now :)

did u sort your fuel consumption problem out mine nearly as bad at mpg 2.5 dt if so wot was causing it ??

plenty ov power changes gear 3000rpm is this about right for an auto ??

can cope with that im as bad at times would be nice to sort the problem tho 15mpg is bad

why more questions ??? stops starts goes and as the name says big and greedy just keep feeding it would be nice to sort it and am sure i will wont be beat never have yet just after advice

so gather not suppose to hear the pump buzzing away loudly for a minute or so when i turn ignition on then !!!!!!!!!! could answer my idle problem and fuel consumption problem then if its about knackered
