I had a garage do the clutch and assumed that it would be put back together properly. Do you think if I take it back to them I can say they have to repair it without charging?

Wow has to be the quickest response ever thank you. It's the actual body of the vehicle. There is a small amount of vibration up the steering but nothing compared to the bodywork. It doesn't disappear as soon as I go over the 40mph, it does ease when I stop accelerating and cruise.

I have a 90 and just had the clutch changed. Was driving it today and when I reach 40 in 4th or 5th I get a strong vibration over the entire car. Don't know why, can someone enlighten me please. It's a 2.5 td(19j) not that I think that would cause a problem. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I replaced my alternator on the 20th of October with a bran new one from paddock spares and today I started the 90 and everything was fine, pulled away and within 200m my battery light has come on again. Got home checked the charge going to battery now only reads 12.4v. Is there something...

Not that I can think of. But like I said I'm not an expert. Sorry, can't really help anymore then suggesting testing how much volts your alternator is putting out to see if it is that.

Might be the alternator. Just had the same problem with the battery light staying. The horn might be a earth problem?? Not sure though, I'm no expert.

It's only about 6 inches long but isn't the starter on the other side? This cable is behind the alternator but attached to the block.

My current speakers need the mesh that covers them taking off to access screws, but mine aren't standard land rover speakers.

The 19j engine is mounted in a 90, but when looking in the engine bay (from front of vehicle to back) on the right hand side just behind the alternator is, what looks like, an earth cable attached to the block, but the other end isn't attached to anything, was just wondering what is it and what...

I've measured what the alternator is putting out and it's only 12.5. Would this make the light come on and stay on?

I had this problem and actually found it was a hose from the air filter collapses when accelerating but when idling it was fine. Might be worth looking at.
