Hi all. My engine in my series 2 is shoot its not the original so not worth spending shed loads of money on it. I was thinking of putting something that would keep up with modern traffic Ie 200 tdi 2.5 ? . Dose any one any big problems I my occur? Or any pitfalls? . Many thanks.

My 2007 freelander broke down last week . Had it towed to land rover garage . Just had phone call to say high pressure fuel pump knackered and will cost £650 for replacement ?. Seems a bit high to me ?. Is there a descent cheaper one on the market ? and from where? . Many thanks .

Hi . i have a 1958 series 2 with a 2 1/4 sherpa engine from the 70's in it and a lot of probs . I have been offered a 2.4 LDV WITH 68miles on it and looks very clean . Dose any one know if it will fit straight in or is it a head ache ? (ENGINE MOUNTS /PROPS)' MANY THANKS .

I've got the chance of getting my hands on a 300tdi engine and gear box. How hard would it be to fit it to my series 2 ?:confused. Would it go in no trouble or should i look for a another option?. thanks. :confused:

Can anyone help ive only had series landys before but need to get something bigger for towing large boat. Ive seen a lovely disco v8 se trouble is it looks low down at the back in photo?:confused:. Are they air suspension or is something not right at the back?

I read some where on here that you can get a bad earth through the block and you need a second earth so i reconnected the one at the fourth plug.WOW smoke filled cab and a few wires burnt out ?.

I have a switch that i flick on for ten seconds then off from that the wire goes to a solenoid and off that to the second glow plug two wires off that one to first plug and the other one to the third then fourth. I've checked when switch is off and no power going to them?
