galvanizing

I'm stripping my series 2 for a complete rebuild . Any one know where i can get my bits re-galvanized done near bath?. Many thanks

There are a few places.

Wedge have nationwide galvanising centres, have a look which one is nearest to you. Arkinstalls in Birmingham is a popular one, but perhaps a bit of a trek for you?

Arkinstalls went bump just before xmas was taken over by someone else

...I know most places have a minimum weight charge (you can get less done, but have to pay for the minimum weight) _ think it's generally about 4Kg...not sure how much you are getting done, but if less than the minimum weight, it may be worth seeing if anybody else has any bits need doing and spread the cost?

If interested in doing something like that, I have a few small bits that I would happily bung you a few beer tokens to add in?

If you find your nearest gate and railing manufacturer or small steel fabricators, I am sure they will add the bits you need galv'ing to their next order for a few shillings.

McArthur in Bristol don't galvanise anymore, there's one called South West Galvanisers somewhere near Exeter. I went to get my chassis done but they actually advised me against it because it will probably twist with all the repairs, I ended up painting it instead.
