Had a look and the breather pipe is in place and is a black plastic pipe. The one that fell off is a plastic coated metal pipe of about the same diameter as the breather pipe. Any more ideas anyone?

Strong smell of oil today on the drive home from work. Opened the bonnet and there is no oil filler cap and oil is everywhere. Must have loosened it when I changed the spill off pipes on the weekend. Anyone got know where to get one or is it a main dealer part :( .

Glad to say that the gearbox had been hanging around for a couple of years before i put it in. Now it's done about 500 miles it's no longer slipping out of gear :) I'll leave well alone for now.

Theres no overdrive and no movement in the gear lever when going on and off power. The gearbox was only put in last week after the syncro clips went on the previous gearbox. It was an ebay buy but I was assured that it was good. There doesn't seem to be any synchro on 1st and 2nd but it does...

Had exactly the same symptoms as you, disconnected the aerial on the receiver and hey pronto, no more problems.

Sure, there is a green/white that is the right hand indicator, but there is also another wire that looks like its a white/green that is branching out at the front of the rear harness as well.

Well yes its a 2a I suppose, but its got more 3 bits on it than 2a I think. The electrics seem all series 3. Has alternater and ignition switch etc from series 3.
