I Have similar with my Freelander. All doors lock on the button but you need to press the unlock button at least 3 times for all doors to unlock otherwise it only unlocks the drivers door. And the tail gait is just as bad since you need to lift the handle several times before it finally opens.
Is there any way to lower the driver seat since I find even with the steering wheel raised to full adjustment I cant see the top of the speedo when driving and if I put the sunshade down for low sun it blocks out most of my view through the windscreen?
Had same on mine recently. Had a new switch fitted and every time you put front wipers on the rear went mental. Turned out to be a faulty reverse switch.
The spare tyre cover on my Freelander is in tatters and the gafa-tape fix didn't work so need a newer one but not sure what size I need?
It is to cover a 195/80R15 wheel but there advertised as S,M,L so don't want to buy the wrong one.
Problem sort of solved.
Prize all 4 plastic caps off unfortunately breaking 1 to find out of the 8 holes I only had 4 rubber washers and no bolts so with the magic of gaffa-tape sealed all 8 holes for the moment.
Hopefully that should reduce the wet head lining until I can get some bolts...
I have just noticed after the rain last night I have a wet roof lining just above the drivers door. I know the sun roof no longer works due to electrical fault so wonder if its that leaking but seems more like its coming from roof since not wet anywhere near sun roof?
Any ideas?
I think my passenger side rear trailing link arm to hub bush is going as well since have a nasty noise on sharp right hand turns from that area and it's the only thing with movement in the joint when I had a shake of things under there.
Mystery solved.
Had a look at it on the ramps when it had the tyres fitted. Looks like one of the bushes has gone so it was metal against metal which would explain the noise and vibration.
It's off to have a new set of tyres tomorrow so will look when I get back. Mind you it has recently had rear diff and shaft and drum brakes fitted and MOT recently which I would of thought would pick up wheel bearings?
But I will definitely jack it up and give it a wobble to see what...
