The fuel line from the fuel pump to the injector nearest the drivers cabin has split and so my car is basically undriveable. Its a 2.5td Defender. Anyone know where to get this line from, or all 4? I have tried google but cant find anything :confused: Would probly help if i knew the part name...

Very good point made Discomania, i will go ahead and change the wheel studs. Do you reckon i should change all 4 sets of wheel studs, or just the rear ones (bearing in mind it was the back left wheel that came off...)

Maybe your mates a better driver then you and has a better vehicle in general?

the studs didnt have any visible damage to them when putting my wheels back on, so do ya reckon i should still replace them?

It ripped half of the wheel arch off and scuffed bottom of drum brake. Wheel arch is now bottled back on so surprisingly alryt. Any ideas where i can get new studs from, I have tried googling but couldnt find anything. (my car is a 1987 defender 2.5td) Cheers.

Damn, i look like an idiot now! haha. it sounds like i over tightened nuts then, although at the time i thought i was being careful not to! I took off alloy wheels wiv tyres which were about 235's i think on 17 inch wheels. and put on 33, 8, 16 kumho venturers on steel rims. The steel nuts had...

Had changed my wheels to a different set of off road ones, did all the wheel nuts up tightly (using scaffolding bar for extra leverage). Then half a mile down the road the back left wheel flew off and over took me! Scared the ****e out of me. Anyway i cant work out what caused it to come off...

If ur looking to spend money, get urself a 200tdi engine to stick in ur Landy!

Have been thinking of doing this to my Defender for ages. I think it will be a job for the summer. What kind of price should a disco transfer box be, and also is it a straight forward job to switch over? Cheeers, Oli

thanks olmasters, i think i will go ahead and order that central locking package and try fitting it. It seems like it should be relatively simple apart from the back door lock which needs slightly altering. I will give it a go and let you know how it goes.

Also does anyone know if it would work on the back door as well?

I meant the bill is from before Christmas when he carried out the piston work, i haven't been back to him since then. I have been saving my pennies to get a 200tdi then fit over the summer, but a bill of £900 is a major kick in the nuts!!
