Battery is new and full although the RAC man has left it flat after cranking and cranking. I think it is the alarm / immobiliser. The alarm no longer flashes the indicators for one. All iIt un locks and locks but just cranks without firing. The battery is now on charge again.

I am getting a fault code on my reader Engine imobiliser link fault too high too low current. Any ideas?

How can I get the eka code today?

DSE auto just turns over with no attempt to fire. Sync fault? Its a 99 and I do not have the code with me which is 168 miles away locked in a house! Can I get the eka code anywhere? or resync

To be honest if I had £3000 to spend I would buy a nice 300tdi Discovery rather than a P38. It will be easy to find a Discovery for that price. Most P38s I have looked at (including ones up to £8000) have been in need of expensive repairs. I have a 1999 P38 DSE and before that had a 300tdi...

I had this problem which was the primary bearing cage breaking up. It still worked though!

While you are at it change the thermostat and check your waterpump. Did you hear your fan noise increase as the engine temp increased? Hope you get it sorted.

Its fixed thanks to fellow landrover owner Difflock123. He supplied me with a replacement part and all now seems well. Man many thanks for all the help and support on here

Hi All A plea for help as I am in Helston Cornwall working and my steering has failed on my land rover. It has a 2a steering box and the main nut is broken . I need a complete box or main nut and bearings and gaskets. Does anyone know where i can get this today or tomorrow? Thanks Dean

Just watched it. Quite poor I thought. Did you notice the orange peel paint on the tailgate? Was it a resprayed vehicle with the front and rear badges missing? Head lamps were a joke!

Just for info I have fitted the front Britpart discs. They are a perfect fit and very well made! So good quality Britpart discs fitted front and rear and only £16 per disc. Mintex pads all round though.

I fitted Britpart rear disks last week to my DSE. They are a perfect fit and well made. They were bought from Island 4x4. Use Mintex pads though. I have a set of Britpart front discs going on this weekend. I normally never buy Britpart but the discs do seem to be good quality this time.

Why why why? Use paypal or just leave a deposit. You never pay the full amount until you have seen it. What about EBAY protection, trading standards. I would not be re listing the next day without seeing the seller first and giving him some options!

I bet it is already sold and bob tailed!
