    Which blend motor ?

Started at 10 in the morning and completed it by 5pm. I did not stop all day. having already done the heater O rings I know how to strip the the dash plus the heater duct was already cut for easy removal. When refitting the motors I glued the fixing screws to my screw driver to be able to hold...

    Which blend motor ?

I did change all three as all mine were defective. But if only the passenger side is duff I would just do that and leave the others as they were still working. I intended to change all three and just plug the new motors in without cutting wires and resoldering. After several attempts to feed...

    Which blend motor ?

Having just done this I recommend you only change one at a time rather than all three. To change the passenger side, remove the glove box and passenger airbag. This gives access to the motor. Best thing to do is unscrew the blend motor and cut the wires. Solder the new blend motor in place...

....and this morning it won't start...

I doubt the RAC or AA will be able to help as they had no clue when mine went out of sync. They said the FIP was u/s!! Best to get a syncmate as this may be your cheapest and quickest option. Then check your RF receiver is the newer type.

May have been cheaper and quicker to get hold of a becm syncmate first to see if it fixed the issue.

    P38 Diesel won't start

Did he not check the alarm becm code first via the OBD socket? Surely that should be the first thing to do before taking bits off?

    P38 Diesel won't start

That should sort it. You may want to change or check your alarm RF receiver afterwards for the newer type if the code is wrong.

    P38 Diesel won't start

These symptoms sounds like the same as my DSE was. The Becm code may be corrupt . Not sure if a re sync tool will sort this or if you need someone with the kit like doug.com to re write the code.

    BritPart Blend Motors

The plastic used in the P38 is awful when you consider the cost of the vehicle new. When I looked at the old blend motor I thought they were quite poor for OEM stuff.
