can a EAS fault stop the car from starting anyone know?

thanks for the replys but none seem to work. i thought it would be something small todo with the immobiliser at first but starting to think its something else now but just have no idea what :(

i have petrol. but how would i check if its getting spark? thanks

hello ive had to change the crankshaft sensor on my 4.0 p38 but while i was waiting to sort it all out (about 2 weeks) i disconnected the Battery so it wouldn't drain. so today i changed the sensor and reconnected the battery but now the car wont start at all. before i disconnected the...

hello can someone tell me where the crank sensor is on 1996 4.0 p38 also what it looks like? car wont start got it checked out and it came up as the crank sensor so needs replacing thanks

what i ment by jumping noise is there was a noise from the bottom of the car and it also jumps alittle forward. it happend again today but as someone said turn engine off and on and the problem is gone :confused:

hello just need some advice on gearbox today i was in my p38 and i noticed everytime i stopped at lights or slowed down enough for it to go into 1st gear there was this jumping noise coming from the car i ignored it an carried on driving when i got to where i was going and turned the engine...

thanks for the replies. found out that the leak is coming from the crankshaft apparently it's a major job to fix so i was told to just leave it.

hello i think i have an oil leak on my 4.0 p38 well it's pretty obvious to be honest floor where car is parked is coverd in oil and i keep having to top the oil up every few weeks. was just wondering does anyone know where the common oil leak spots are? its been like this for a good few...

lol i wasn't expecting that but on a serious note i would be pretty ****ed off aswell and i would be taking a visit to the guys house/car to return the favor. were do people get the cheek to do such things hope he gets what he deserves.

yes you can fit them you will just need the right wheel nuts. but i think the l322 and the sport have them same nuts am not to sure. if not you can get them on ebay pretty cheap

i fitted side steps on my rangy 4 days ago. its not hard to do the only problem is installing the rivet nuts into the holes of the car which can be a pain in the ass but not hard just time consuming. once there on the rest is easy.

the central locking keeps freezing up on mine so even when i unlock the doors they still wont open and when they do 3 seconds later they lock themselves again. i got locked init before and had to wait 20mins while the car warmed up i heard a thud noise in the door and the locks came poping up lol.

that style of alloy is on both the classic and the p38 so would not be able to know from looking at the pic.
