    Ninety Steering Wheel

I don't know if my Momo wheel is connected to the Land Rover collar that cancels the indicators on standard Defenders as it is such a long time since I fitted the wheel and I can't remember fitting the collar. Also I have yet to drive it on the road as I'm still building it. Anyway I always...

    Ninety Steering Wheel

That's a very nice wheel. Very similar to my Momo, though the Momo looks to have a fatter rim which feels a better grip to someone like me with big hands.

    Defender roof......

If not too big a dent, and if hidden by headlining I would fill it. I had a good sized dent in my rear nearside wing panel caused by reversing into a short concrete bollard. A tinsmith working for Land Rover fixed it for me and now you can't tell it was ever damaged. He shrunk the area...

    Catalyst worth fitting ?

I'm thinking of fitting a catalyst to my 300 Tdi, but with Land Rover wanting over £600 + VAT; I need convincing that it will make a worthwhile improvement to the emissions when I take it for it's IVA test at the DVLA. My engine is new, by the way. I'd like to know what readings everyone else...

What are you buying for Defender this Christmas

A new coat of Ford bright blue and Mercedes silver on the roof, mirrors, vents, grill and headlamp surrounds. Fed up seeing in multi-colour panels.

Anyone know this truck E186 EFO?

Could it be that the holes are there to aid identification if stolen ? Or to deter theft ? I've thought about making a pattern of rivets on the panels of my Defender for that reason..... Think about it ?

    Jack recommendations

Don,t buy one that's too tall. Remember that the axle will be closer to the ground with a flat tyre. Also I carry a 12 inch square of 3/4 inch ply to jack on if I'm on soft ground.

    Scumbag

What was his excuse for being around your vehicles ? Especially at that hour. I was in the security industry for over 20 years and can confirm that a lot of crime involving theft happens around 3AM in the morning when most decent people are in a sound sleep and don't know who is...

    Ratty's Poll - Security devices.

All you need to do is measure the diameter of your steering wheel, then order the Disklock that fits it. If you can, get the one with half moons welded on the underside so it can't be wriggled off the wheel. I put an old tee shirt on my wheel before fitting my Disklock to protect it as...

Looking at a defender - tips

Might be a good idea to look for reg. numbers or chassis numbers etched on the glass parts...... they should match the V5 details. Be sure to get both sets of keys and see if they will throw in any extra security equipment that they may have used on the Landy. Good luck with your purchase...

    rear tub bracket

I have a 1989 One Ten Parts Catalogue, so it's probably in there. How long is it and what does the other end bolt onto? A picture would be good as I can't find anything certain in the catalogue.

    Stop the indian defender

They could build them in Bangladesh and let Lee Poo design a new body.

    Security etching glass

Actually, no problem for me. I have broken up and sold most of the parts off my series III. I did keep the back door and station wagon side window panels for my hybrid build, but I sold the tropical roof, side doors, windscreen, headlamps and instruments. I just pointed out the etched...

Front Runner Bonnet Mount Spare Wheel TD5

Why would you want to spend £100 ? You could make one fairly easily out of a steel wheel rim from a car. Split the rim in two and trim off the part that holds the tyre bead in place so the remainder of the rim will fit inside your spare wheel. Drill it around the edge so that you can bolt...

    Ninety Steering Wheel

I can't remember exactly how much it cost as I have had it about 5 years, but I have a feeling it was around £110 including the mounting boss. I chose it from the Momo catalogue at Halfords and they ordered it for me. It was a hard choice to make as there were so many great designs in the...

    Ninety Steering Wheel

This is my Momo 14 inch steering wheel........ if the picture attaches. It's the first time I tried to attach a picture on the zone. Hooray, I managed it. The wheel looks small and chunky but it is a 14".

    Stolen from Work

Do you mean weld a plate to the passenger seat base frame so that you have to unbolt the seat to check the battery etc. You could fit bolts with security heads. I would expect them to cut the main battery cable from the battery to the fuse box under the drivers seat. Here's a thought for...
