    Certificate of Conformity.....help !

Has anyone please got a Certificate of Conformity that I could borrow or buy so that I can get my Defender through an IVA ( Individual Vehicle Approval ) test by the DVLA ? It's a short wheel base 300 TDi station wagon that I built myself from parts, some second-hand and some new. The...

    Kenlowe fan fuse casing?

That's what more recent Kenlowes are fitted with but don't fit the smaller type one with the mini fuses. Too fiddly, and there's a better supply of the larger blade fuses whenever you visit a car breakers yard.

    Disklok size quickie

If I lived in your neck of the woods I'd definitely be using it. But you are right, it's an awkward, heavy piece of kit to struggle with and a ball ache to store once it's off. Pinched a finger in mine yesterday.

    Gold and Green Fobs

I fitted a Land Rover approved immobiliser spider kit to my Defender some years ago but for various reasons never got around to programming it. Now that I'm trying to get it all working, I'm unable to get the gold fob to make the sensor bleep to enable the programming of the two green fobs. If...

    Eureka immobiliser

What does this Eureka unit look like ? Is it a Land Rover accessory ? I have the spider unit with two green fobs and a gold fob to program the green fobs. If you lose the gold fob you need to buy a new gold one to replace it. Part number for a spare green fob is YDM500010. I don't have a...

    Immobiliser programming

I presume that you are not waiting too long before holding the second fob over the sensor. You are correct in saying it should only bleep once, I am having trouble with my own set of fobs so have been reading the installation instructions to try and sort it out. There's nothing in the...

    Changing a 110 front end to a series 3.

Yes, best left as it is. Be thankful that you have that much space in the engine bay for when you have to do any wok on the front end of the engine. Most of us have to remove the radiator and front panel to get at our lump

    Kenlowe blows fuse

I still have the new viscous fan that came with the engine, but I don't plan to use it. I won't be doing any towing. This morning I fitted the new relay and ran a test bringing the engine up to working temperature.... then the fuse blew again. So it seems the original relay must have been...

    Kenlowe blows fuse

I thought the unused feed for the rear screen wiper was safe enough, but I left it attached to the wiper switch so that it was tidy. This wire from the vehicle harness to the wiper switch is quite thin so there may have been a risk, but on checking this morning I found that fuse 8 also covers...

    Kenlowe blows fuse

I had the power supply connected to the power supply on the back of the rear screen wiper switch, because it was a convenient place to attach it and I have no rear screen wiper. Therefore, when the fan cut in it must have fed back up the wiring harness to the centre of the dashboard and into...

    Kenlowe blows fuse

Yes I know, but I have all those bits already. I've just sent of to CBS for a new relay so I'll see how that goes.

    Kenlowe blows fuse

Apologies for not replying sooner but my lap top has been playing up and wpould not allow me to type. Anyway, yesterday I moved the power supply from where I had it connected. I had it wired to the power supply on the back of the rear wipe switch as I have no rear wiper and it was convenient...

    Kenlowe blows fuse

Yes, I have a relay which is part of the Kenlowe kit. I fitted their over ride switch also. everything is wired up as per the supplied wiring diagram. I had a similar Kenlowe kit that I fitted to a Series III that I owned about 20 years ago and had no trouble with that at all.

Defender Front/Rear Door Hinges - MPS Trading

I would not want to use the 4 nut plates in the bottom of the picture. I would use nylock nuts instead to stop anyone unscrewing the bolts from the outside. You could have your doors stolen.

    Kenlowe blows fuse

Been trying to set up a Kenlowe fan in my 300 TDI. Following the instructions I turned the adjustment knob fully clockwise, ran the engine so that the temperature gauge was halfway between N and H. Then slowly turned the adjuster knob back towards C. When it reached C, the fan blades jerked...

    Coolant temp sensor

I don't think so.... P. is 1997.... T is 1999. I have been looking for a 300 Tdi and want it to be one of the last they built 1998 R or S. You can check it out on the DVLA web which allows you to check if a vehicle is taxed or nor not. Try typing in DVLA REPORT UNTAXED VEHICLE... Just have...
