Hi, is there anyway to delete threads? I started one but for some reason it appeared 4 times, and I can see no way to remove the 3 extras? Sorry.

    200 tdi for sale Buckinghamshire

Hi there, been a while since I posted on here. It is with heavy heart that I have reached the conclusion that I probably ought to sell my treasured 1993 200tdi hard top. Red with white roof. I have had her for 3.5 years, done a fair bit of work, but have never used her enough to warrant...

Help needed - Princes Risborough - CLUTCH

QUICK UPDATE I got some brake fluid, topped it up and pumped for a while and the pedal pressure has returned to more or less as before. Once I realised diff lock stick was in neutral and put it where it ought to be, the clutch is working again. I guess I need to change the 2 cyclinder...

Help needed - Princes Risborough - CLUTCH

thanks, there are no obvious leaks around the pedal. If I toip up the chamber would I stand a chance of at least being able to drive to the garage? Or would it need bleeding? Also are brake and clutch fluid the same? Excuse my embarassing ignorance.

Help needed - Princes Risborough - CLUTCH

Hi, I jumped in my 200tdi this morning, not used for a couple of weeks, and the clutch pedal has no pressure at all. I can engage gears but no drive, I guess the clutch or cyclinder or something has failed. I need to find someone good and local to fix it. I have seen a land rover around...

    MOT changes from April

The old 93 defender goes for MOT net week, so fingers crossed as usual. I was chatting to the guy on the phone and he told me there are some new items being added as of April this year, most significantly to do with warning lights. Basically if you have an airbag light on, or engine...

I thought it was illegal to take kids in the back on side facing seats? Might depend how old they are? I have rear bench on 1 side with no belts, but never let the kids use them.

    Horn not working

Hi all, my 200 tdi has developed a fault with the horn. The horn itself works OK, as I tested it by running wire direct from the battery. The fuse is also OK. I am suspecting it must be the switch in the steering column as I do not get 12 volts at the horn when pressing the stalk in. Any...

rear lower trailing arm seized bolt

Have you managed to get the nut off? Sounds like yes. If so then just find a suitable drift, a very large hammer and belt FOOK out of it, it will come out. Mine was the same, the real fun is getting the new ones in once you have replaced the bushes. I used a scissor jack to jack the axle...
