no it is about 8 to 10 inchs if it went any further i'd say it was about to fall out

hi all ive got a freelander 1999 diesel which has a very floppy gearstick you can get the gears but once engaged you can still move the gearstick from left to right by about 8 to 10 inchs it is the same in any gear does anyone have any ideas????? :mad:

top up with fluid and turn lock to lock a few times turn off and leave for a few hours then check level and top up as if it has run low you will have air bubbles in the system

have you checked the rubber turbo pipes ive had problems with them before

they are probably like that because they are not working test them with a battery to check if they are working then check the wiring

if it is fuel injected it will definatly have one usually placed on chassis rails by gearbox depends on what truck

i would say it was a 2.5 diesel ldv engine you can tell because the injector pump is mounted lower than on the land rover fitted engine also the air cleaner is different yours is a ldv sherpa engine

what about letting tyres down or getting a set of wheel rims to then drive it in on also lowers the car so it is easier to work on it might fit in the garage then

will probably be the injector washers also the td5 doesnt have a cambelt

the heads are the same but you will have to use your old injectors remember where they came from because they have to go back to the cylinder they came from as all are numbered individually and programed to the computer otherwise you will have to have them all reprogramed to the car again . so...
