    What's wrong now.

Sounds like its sucking in air to me. Mine did something similar. I put new fuel sender on it and bypassed the sedimenter and it sorted it.

    Britpart shock absorbers

Thanks Dieseldog, things are begining to make more sense now. I have just had a new shock absorber mount welded on the axle from yrm and they dont come with the cups welded on them. After much nashing of teeth and swearing I have fitted them without the cup washers even though the bushes are the...

    Britpart shock absorbers

Thanks for the help Dieseldog but these ****part shock absorbers only come with three washers. There is a small washer already fixed on the pin and three large washers . Only one washer has a hole large enough to slide up the pin beyond the threaded part. Has anyone else used these Paddocks...

    Britpart shock absorbers

Trying to fit new rear shocks on my disco 1 . They have given two rubber bushes and three washers. I can't work out how the washers go. No instructions and the picture on the box looks different to what they gave me. I suspect the washer with the large diameter hole is for the top mount but...

300 tdi auto 94 ignition switch

Thanks, I'm having trouble with ignition. Turn key and lights come on dash [oil light ,glow plugs etc] then just a click. It will only start with a live wire from starter solenoid to battery when ignition is on. I hope a new switch will solve my problem.

My Disco 300tdi is illergic to the motorway

I think Big Lad is right. If the sedimenter is not cleaned out , a bacterial jelly forms and can float up to the top at full throttle and cut off the fuel supply. When the engine stops the jelly sinks to the bottom and your fuel pipe is flowing again !

    Another starting problem

When I turn the key I only get a click, but if I leave ignition on and run a wire from the starter solenoid to the battery she starts. What do you think it could be? Its a 94 auto 300 tdi without the spider unit. A mate suggested just putting a switch on the dash bypassing the other stuff...

Cured sticking hydraulic tappet with ease!

You would be better off trying a good 20w50 oil for the v8. Use one for old classics with good zddp levels.

    300 tdi starting problem

Well I have put a jump lead on negative battery and clamped it on the block but still not attempting to start. So I suppose that rules out bad earth.I then ran a wire from the starter solenoid to the positive on the battery and it started turning over. So nothing wrong with the solenoid or...
