The lift pumps dont work unless the engine is in the right position.Keep flicking the ignition until you feel resistance on the lever. Then it should pump .

Well I got the replacement glass in......what a bastid job! Had to get my wife to hold the glass while I tried to get it into the rubber channel, much cursing and nashing of teeth managed to get it in [ vasaline a million and one uses:D ]. Only trouble I had was the lower bolt on the door top...

So I slide the new glass in from the top with the window mechanism in the up position with the door card and clip on top rail removed?

Yes they did smash my window:mad: just realised my big breaker/drill has gone! It was about ten years old b&q model not worth anythingto sell but it was to me.It was the offside passenger door glass so it has electric motor to send it up and down.

Some bastid smashed my rear offside passenger window last night.Dont think they stole anything cos all my tools are cheap crap. Does anyone have a link to how to replace the glass, I've got the glass in my old disco to swap over.

I've got the same problem with rear door but mine will not open at all from inside or out.The actuator is moving with remote but not operating the latch. How do I get the door open ?

How bad is the boot floor? All I did with my old disco was cut out the bad rot on the floor .paint it and the place the new floor on top of the old.I cut the seat belt mounting round the new floor and pulled the belts through. Pop rivets and sealer and job done. I had that disco 7 years and past...

I did this on my 300 once and all I did was remove oil filler cap then put a tub under the drain plug and LOOSEN the drain plug until you get a steady drip. Go and have a cup of tea then come back and check. check the dip stick,tighten the plug, replace filler cap and drive of into the sunset...

Anyone know the part no for the gasket? I read a few posts about fitting the pipe.One said it took about twenty mins and biglad said it took about five hours!:eek: Knowing my luck it will be the latter!

I just got 20 ltr 10w 40 semi synthetic triple qx engine oil off ebay delivered for £38.00! Worked out at £1.89 per litre. Should do me for a while :)

Just got a decat defender pipe for the disco . Im hoping it will help the revs pick up a bit quicker and get the disco moving at low revs. Do I need to fit a gasket at the manifold end ? There was nothing that came with the pipe.

Before you do anything check its not just a bad connection on the starter motor spade connector. Very common fault. Lights on dash but just a click when turn key,
