Hi i have just about given up on tring to get my V8 to run right in my 90 so i am now thinking about using a 200tdi out of a disco but i would like to use it with a auto box, has anybody got any input on this or ever done this conversion?:confused:

i have just come across some old Zenth carbs i will try these the weekend as the father in law is now trying to get me to put a 200tdi in place of the v8:eek: This cant be the answer

Hi i have a Manual choke, i have had another play over the weekend and again it runs for about 15 seconds and then cuts out, I have now stipped the carbs down again and found that the needle wasnt maching so i have now replaced these, but hey still no joy appart from all the plugs being wet...

Hi their please help, i have installed a v8 with su carbs but it takes an age to get it to start and then once it does fire it will not run, all new plugs,leads new cap and coil, i have found top dead centre but hey still no joy, the plugs on the passanger side are wet with fuel, the drivers...

Thanks Mark hopefully i will get to have a play over the week end i will put the fist Dizzy cap back on and try that, i have just brought a new fuel pump as i know it works but i have heard that in the past that they may not be sending the right amount of fuel i will let you know how i get on...

The full story is i replaced my old V8 which i put in some time ago with the one which i am now trying to get to start,when i 1st put it in the engine it run for about 4 mins each time but once it had cut out it wouldnt start so I have replaced all the plugs dizzy,cap,coil as the rotor arm...

Hay up mate seen that u have had issues with the timing on a v8 u could give me some advise as i cant get mine to start and we now think its down to the timing as i do get a good spark at the plugs thanks Martin

Hi i have just put a V8 into my 90 it was out of a v8 90 and has come with a pair of SU's i had it running at first but it would cut out after about 3 mins or if i reved it up it would stall as if it was over fueling, i have now replaced the coil,plugs and disy cap all leads are in the right...
