I don't think so, everything went back perfectly, even that fcuking circlip that was a **** to remove went in easy. The play I have now is the same as before I did the bearing, about 8mm. The shaft is pivoting on the new output bearing.

It must be the ''inside'' end of the shaft then, because I have replaced the output bearing (using Busters guide) thinking that was the problem in the first place but obviously not!

So I take it that's a box out and split job. Not something that can be done in situ then?

Personally I feel correction bushes are false economy. The average price is roughly £65 a set which after a few changes soon mounts up, also I'm trying to avoid having to buy a wide angled or double jointed propshaft which aint cheap either.

Put some copper slip on the back of the pads, see if that helps.

Hi folks, just been speaking to somone whoes recently purchased a td5 90. When he turns it on it starts first time with no smoke, but has an erratic, lumpy idle. He's had 110mph out of it easily and it's very quick off the mark and rapid acceleration. No egr blank, large exhaust or uprated...
