i drive a 2000 4.6 vogue, and the engine is beautifull mate. a few gremlins in the electrics, but im slowly getting them sorted. mines done almost 70k now, and runs as sweet as a nut. love the v8! good luck fred.

battery good, still got power and has never drained.ive had it disconected today, and tied the pos and neg terminals together, just the same though when re-connected.

i am trying to get my 2000 p38 to accept its eka code due to my fob suddenly not working. however when i do my initial 4 unlocks, it dosent recognise them. so theres no flashing lights or alarm beeps, nothing. i then try entering my code, but still nothing. ive tried every combination possible...

mine is a repaired cat c, not to bad, front wing,headlight,airbox,small bonnet repair, criminal it made cat c really. it wasnt registered as this with dvla though, and didnt have to be, up to the insurance company to tell them if they think they need to, so i didnt need to have a d-o-t check done.

i've read a lot about the rf receiver in the boot needing upgrading, could this be it? it dosent seem to suffer from a flat battery though.

ive bought a 2000 vogue without proof of service history, although i know it has a full one. is there any way of tracing its history, even if i dont know where it was done? i beleive it was main dealer though. thanks.

tried all that mate, it just wont start sequence after 4th turn. gavbriggs helped me out last time, we got it sorted then, but i dont really know how we did it.

you said it was tight as a drum with no faults pre accident mate! thats unheard of when talking about p38's. buy it back and get the rare faultless rangie rolling again. you know your only going to buy one riddled with all the usual gremlins, thats just sods law mate!

hi dave, just tried again to unlock the other 3 doors, but it wont let me pull the catch up or open them with the handle. weird eh?

tried 4 locks and unlocks, still dosent beep, took the door card off and checked the lock mechanism, all moving freely but i put some wd40 on anyway. problem remains though.

ive got my number now, but i cant get the car ready to accept it. i'm doing the 4 unlock's, but theres no beep from it to enter the code.
