ok, fuel leak fixed. Most awkward bit was undoing the manifold nuts without dropping them. Also replaced MAP or MAF hose (can't remember which one,) top of fuel filter to underside of manifold. did find something at the back of the manifold, next to the breather pipes that looked like a hose...

cheers for that Wammers. I didnt read it in rave. i have read it on posts on here. i think rave instructs you to disconnect battery when removing intake manifold.

probably a daft question but why do you need to disconnect the battery to change a gasket on the injector pump?

I have only got it on ramps not a lift. i guess i will have to drive it off the ramps and take the wheel off. will it be ok as i dont think i will be able to put the nuts back on? i suppose the worse can only be that it comes out on its own?haha

i have been tapping the the end of the thread right at the end from underneath. when you say arm, do you mean the rod or end? sorry, not a mechanic.

Hi all. Just doing the track rod replacement thing and am struggling to get the bugger out. Am I missing something or do I just keep walloping it from underneath till it comes free? I have shocks and discs to do next so no one is sleeping tonight. 😜

hoping its the easy one. do i search for FIP rubber gasket or are there more than one on the pump?

just to clarify, the seam that the arrow is pointing to is the one with the rubber seal? cheers for your patience but my knowledge of engine block and fuel system is quite poor.

OK, knocking seemed to stop up the track to the car park. Suspension was a bit lower if that would make any difference? So I decided to drive home and stop if I heard or felt anything unusual. 35 miles on motorway and felt smooth all the way. Looks like I will have to book it in for a check up...

Jacked it up and I can rotate the wheel back and forth about 3 inches. No movement any where else
