Ok, I'll answer my own question. Seen where muddy water can come in. Cleaned it with petrol, put it back together and tested. nothing, noud, nix. :wtf: Should I have waited longer the let the petrol evaporate ? (It had more life before I cleaned it out.) Any expert advise ...

Got the same problem after going off road yesterday. It was very wet and I must have been soaking the starter motor. Thought it was the battery cause even yesterday the starter motor was working worse each time. Searched it and saw this thread. Gona clean it first now.
