I jus done this on my resto project. Major pita! Make sure you have good cutting tools, a good reciprocating saw would make it a shed load easier. Once the old ones are off its jus a case of bolting up and welding on. But I found getting the old ones off a nightmare.

Few more bits done, re-hinged one door, drilled and tapped t-box for handbrake bracket, removed old busted seat box, plumbed snorkel in, cut and fit rocker breather to new pipework.

They should be the same mate. the 80 is the profile of the tyre. The side wall is 80% of 205. You could get a tape measure and measure from the bead to the tread and see if there is a significant difference

There is an 'empty' contact on the fuel level sensor, unscrew the sender and have a look at the contacts. Being that old they may be corroded. A bit of a clean may sort them or you may need to replace the sender
