Sorry Vultur.. Lads. The rightful owner jus picked it up. Apparently he abandoned it after a failed attempt at towing it nearly ripped the back off his van. Dunno what he was doing, whether it was in lock or something but apparently the rear prop destroyed itself. Its on its way upto liverpool...

    Theft deterrent....

Hahahaha!! Love it Dr.Evil. I BLOODY WISH!! Looking at hardened steel bike chains in the £100 ballpark Strange_days... I am thinking of that. The chain i have is really long so i can maybe loop it round a couple of times to have several loops leaving the concrete. Also i am going to put a...

    Viscous fan nightmare

Another option is to get the engine hot as it will sieze up the viscous couple and allow more torque to be transfered to the fan ;) It is a CCW bolt so clockwise should undo it

    Theft deterrent....

I have just dug a 2x2x1' hole in my drive. I am going to put a 1" thick steel bar across the bottom of the hole and wrap some chain around it with 13mm thick links on it. Then concrete the whole thing in leaving a portion of the chain exposed to wrap round the axle or chassis or something. Then...

My mate found this in the catshill area of Bromsgrove. It's a series 3 (I think) with a galv chassis and 200tdi conversion. Not much left on it but still recoverable. Not sure whether it's stolen but thought I'd post it jus in case. No identifying marks left on it Blue body with white...

    Project 1989 90 (Bruce)

Ooh can't wait to see how this progresses. One thing I was grateful for on my project was the solid bulkhead. Should have gone the same route as you though and got a whole new chassis.

    Outriggers - repair or replace?

I got mine from MIB too but gotten them myself. Different design which let's water and mud flow out, plus they are made out of thicker stuff than standard. +1 for that idea

    Outriggers - repair or replace?

I jus done this on my resto project. Major pita! Make sure you have good cutting tools, a good reciprocating saw would make it a shed load easier. Once the old ones are off its jus a case of bolting up and welding on. But I found getting the old ones off a nightmare.

    Effects of uprated steering damper

You been over anything rough lately? Fitting a steering guard or anything? If the damper or track rod is fouling against anything it won't rtc.

    New 90 project startup!!

Few more bits done, re-hinged one door, drilled and tapped t-box for handbrake bracket, removed old busted seat box, plumbed snorkel in, cut and fit rocker breather to new pipework.

    205 R16s vs 205 80 R16s...What?

They should be the same mate. the 80 is the profile of the tyre. The side wall is 80% of 205. You could get a tape measure and measure from the bead to the tread and see if there is a significant difference

    Lowering my 90

Look for reinforcement type angle iron running down the bottom edge of the trailing arms, and look for holes in radius arms towards the chassis side. Them are regular tells that the parts are none standard. Other than that there isn't many mods that would adversely affect you if you return it to...

info on 90 fuel light plz

There is an 'empty' contact on the fuel level sensor, unscrew the sender and have a look at the contacts. Being that old they may be corroded. A bit of a clean may sort them or you may need to replace the sender
