    headlight adjustment

Doesn't the air suspension compensate when towing by adjusting the height of the car? I agree though, headlamp adjustment would be handy but I guess that P38s are a bit old for that tech (did it even exist when they were released in 1994/1995?)

    Changing blend motor

    Yep, good advice :)

heater vents not going to windscreen

Distribution motor is probably one of the easiest to replace, did mine a few months back and only took an hour.

    First P38 Advice

Heads can crack if they overheat too (seeing as slipped liners are mentioned) :)

    Alarm Fault Returns

Yep, that would annoy me too! Maybe a box of matches and some petrol would fix it for good? :D

    Alarm Fault Returns

I've never even checked if my interior sensors work. Can't imagine anyone wanting to steal a P38 so I wouldn't worry about it!

    diagnostic sowftware

Looks like it's a normal fault code reader bundled with the free EAS software (you can pick this up for £20 with the cable) plastered with dodgy Land Rover logos.

Alarm going off at home and at night

Don't manuafacturers only have to supply parts up to ten years after a model is discontinued? Newest P38 is what, 2002? Parts are going to become increasingly difficult to get hold of I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if they stop manufacturing things like the RF Receiver altogether soon.

Alarm going off at home and at night

Mine was disconnected for a year before I got round to replacing the RF receiver. I live in a town centre plus I left the car parked at the airport for two weeks once with no issues. Only annoying thing is having to use the key in the door to open all the time.

    Just lost all the water!

This is why it's a good idea every now and again to have a quick check over pipes, etc in the engine bay for signs of leaks. I noticed the other week a pin hole leak from the metal heater return pipe but only when the engine was cooling down fro normal operating temperature. I replaced the pipe...

Fitting Fog Lights to a Diesel.

Does seem like an awful lot of effort just to fit some fog lights.

    Instrument binnacle surround

Agreed. I fitted some chrome rings to mine. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts to get the binnacle surround lined up. In fact you can line it up, tighten the screws and then find it's not on properly!

Will P38's become appreciating Assets ?

You'd of thought so! The Sat Nav system, etc is straight out of a BMW on a P38.

Will P38's become appreciating Assets ?

Actually, I think the last true brit Range Rover was the Classic. After all, diesel P38s are fitted with a BMW engine and aren't most of the electrics German?

    What's it worth?

Very debatable but lets not get back into that discussion!

    What's it worth?

I agree with this. Put it up for 3k first and see how you go.

Will P38's become appreciating Assets ?

The L322 was designed by the British, not the Germans. This is a good read: Concepts and Prototypes : Range Rover L322 - AROnline

Will P38's become appreciating Assets ?

I love my P38. However, I don't personally think it will become a classic and here's why, the design of the original Classic was pretty revolutionary and certainly very distinguishable from anything else on the road. They even had one as an art exhibit in the Louvre! The P38 design is well, a...
