I thought pumping the brakes up after bleeding them removed the travel that the pistons have?

Forgot to add that I put new EBC pads all round. Yeah I think some of the pads are a little bit loose but on the ones that I rebuilt. Is there a way of getting them back out again?

I got told ACEA A1 was the right one when I bought some from island 4x4 and they seem to know their stuff.

Haynes Manual has: Engine oil - SAE 5W/40 or 5W50 to ACEA A1,B1 Gearbox - MTF94 Transfer Gearbox - 75W/90

Try bleeding the hydraulic system

Is this just a case of replacing the master and/or the slave cylinders? I read busters guide on this and it looked like an 'alright' job.

I love that every job I do on my defender ends up with me replacing about 3x as many parts as I anticipated...
