Did try the G cramp thing, didn’t work as the seal was too distorted by then.

TD5 2004 brake rear caliper seal.

Great Vid, might just bite the bullet and fit new ones. Keep the old in reserve and fit new parts one day.

TD5 2004 brake rear caliper seal.

How the frig do you get those metal dirt seals back in if they pop out of the caliper. An hour later I still couldn't get the dam thing back in. Now out of shape and a bit foobared! Bugger.

    High speed rattle.

I was thinking as the bonnet has the two rubber feet at the front end, why not put 2 at the back end of the sides as theres a double seam with rivets, it seems pretty robust so would support a couple of feet. Thinking of a rivnut with a stud and rubber foot screwed in and adjusted, then secured...

    Guns, the spray variety.

Not having done any proper spraying in 30 years I need a refresher. (it was furniture finishing back then) Whats best for vehicle spraying, suction or gravity feed, what size nozzle, what to pay for the gun, etc etc. I have a SIP airmate hurricane 25lt, max 8 bar output. My 110's paint is...

    Door card off!

Vaseline it is. I did notice the plastic sheet had peeled away near the lock push down button and stuck to the actuator rod, this might account for a sticky lock.

    Door card off!

No other signs of damage anywhere.

    Door card off!

I have winter problems with some or all central locking. Guess I can puncture through the plastic sheet and grease the rod joints etc. What lube suits the glass channels? White grease?

    Door card off!

Having been looking at a shaking door mirror for far too long, I whipped off the card and top hinge to tighten the mirror fixing screws. Found this, interesting. And this, slightly more of a worry.

    High speed rattle.

Far be it from me to suggest my 2004 TD5 110 can cruise 70mph plus for several hours on end but yes I do, I was wondering for a long time now and searching for the culprit of a rattle, sometimes when going over bump and hollows on the motorway and other times just random, always thought it was...
