How the frig do you get those metal dirt seals back in if they pop out of the caliper.
An hour later I still couldn't get the dam thing back in.
Now out of shape and a bit foobared! Bugger.

When I did mine I split the caliper so have never done it on a built up caliper but I can give you some tips that I found from when I did the job:
  • Only use OEM/genuine ones, and with a file carefully put a small chamfer on the outer edge to help it seat rather than bend.
  • Buy multiple sets as you will always bend a couple trying to replace them!
  • Thoroughly clean the seat in the caliper, a little dirt or rust will cause it to bend
  • When the caliper is split the radius washer is the perfect size to use as drift.
  • If using the radius arm washer so not gently tap it it will always bend, to reduce the chance of bending a hard sharp clout with the hammer seats it nearly every time (if it doesn't you will need a new ring hence ordering plenty!)

Anyone able to advise on the correct part numbers?
2004 TD5 110.
Rear Lockheed calipers piston and seal set.
Brake disc options. Not Britpart.

Just spoke to a sales person at the biggest online retailer who said there replacements aren't as good as the originals! FFS! why sell them!
I also asked for brake discs, not Britpart, Mintex or Lockheed only, gave me the BP code numbers, DER!

Thanks in advance.
