I reset mine without waiting for the 5 seconds ... ie. open up full and as soon as fully open close it then do the same for tilt. That seemed to work fine.

Oil was changed approx 6 weeks back and there was no chirping for almost 5 of those weeks so don't think it would have taken that long for the oil to get through to the parts ... if it did I would be worried as would probably knacker out the engine ... I am guessing something loose somewhere...
