ive been driving my landy for 2 days now, the steering feels abit funny (maybe because ive never drove a landt before) but it kind of feels "loose" like i could turn the steering wheel side to side a fair bit without the wheels actually turning (like its got abit of play) it might be just me...

any one know where i can get a new powersteering tank? the lid keeps poping off mine and even when it does stay on it dosent seal, and fluid keeps sloshing out the top and all over the engine and pipe works then dripping off on to the floor!

as above, the only dial that lights up is my fuel dial, what bulbs go in there? name or figment would be brilliant thanks

:eek: i will make sure i clean it out then lol. is there anywhere on the diff that will tell me how many teeth or is it a case of counting them? :confused:

if it happenes to be the diff bearing, how much is this? will a new diff bearing come with a new diff? sorry for all the dumb questions, as i say never owned a landrover before

is it ment to or does it mean its worn? it might be behind the UJ where its wobbling, very hard to describe :confused: will a new diff and new propshaft sort it basically?

ive found out why its empty, it all leaks out he said, at the back where the prop goes in to the diff, once you start to drive the oil comes out of there, i take it thre is some seal or something ment to be there? also like i say u can move the prop shaft by hand and its quite wobbly going in to...

dunno thats why im asking haven't bought it yet nor have i ever owned one before, its a mate that owns it at the moment, and when i buy it is supplying me with a new diff and a new prop shaft, i just wanted to know if this will defiantly be the problem

the rear diff is badly worn, and at the moment has no oil in it since it nackered any way (new 1 getting fitted in couple of days) anyway, since the diff broke and was replaced with this worn one, every time when the clutch is pressed in slowing down/stopping these is a round knocking from the...

just been speaking the the guy im buying it from, he said the wires seem to be fine, bit confused. as far as im aware the temp gauge works fine

the fuel tank gauge on the landy im buying is not working. the gauge shows full deflection when earthed the wiring going to it all looks ok the sender is only a couple years old and when tested via a multimeter and lifting the arm, it works. any one got any ideas ??? the landy is a 3.9 V8 EFI...

im buying a 3.9 V8 landy from a mate, just wondering what i can do to it for a bit more speed/power, i have read things about new manifolds etc? where can i look at some of these bits?

so you would recomend 33" rather than 31"? also some of the tyres i look are say 31/1050R15 BFG Mud Terrain i take it 31" is the hight, 10.5 is the width? 15 is the rim? if so whats the 10.5 bit? is that 10.5" wide?

not sure what size rims to get, i like the look of the 15" rims with big tyres. but alot of people i know have 16" rims also with big tyres. on the 15" rims is the tyre slightly bigger to make up for the lost 1"? or will the ride hight be slightly lower because of the rims? i want to combine...

so how do you actually know when its wound up?? a mate of mine blew a hole in his rear diff housing and destroyed the diff climbing up a rocky hill. what would cause this? would it be cause it was wound up?

so what would cause a rear diff to explode? how do you know how far you can push the diffs when locked?
