I have a 2003 TD6. I beleive this is the same engine as an 3.0D X5. I see lots of people with BMW's cleaning both these items and seeing better performance and mpg. How do you check and clean them?

I have a L322 TD6 with 55,000 miles. If I move off slowly and car changes from 1st to 2nd you can feel a bit of a thud. It only does it if you drive slowly. Any ideas??

The motor way symbol lights up when you drive at approx 70 for 30 secs or more. When it starts to flash it is telling you the car suspension is getting lower to improve stability at speed. This happens without doing anything. You cannot select this setting yourself.

I have been told to replace my engine breather on a 2003 TD6. Has anyone changed this and if yes how do you do it. How do you know if it needs replacing??

I had the same problem. I am sure it changed after diconnecting and reconnecting battery. My fuel consumption also used to show:- KM/litre but is know MPG.

Mine done that after diconnecting battery for a long time. I just drove it for 10 mins and suspension settings could be changed again. When message came on mine light also came on height adjusting switch which stopped it working. £10 + P & P ref mail. They are black with black plastic covers...

I have a full set of genuine locking wheel nuts & 11 std wheel nuts off a 2003 model. You can buy full set or individual nuts off E Bay.
