Ok sound. So are we talking all new power steering line then? Or can a hose repair like suggested be done but with a proper Powersteering or hydraulic hose? As there is hose on each end of the lines so the right hose must be able to handle the pressure

Hi all, As the title says power steering pipe burst managed to limp the car home as it burst at the end of the street.... The ace system has been removed but some of the old pipes have been left behind. If I was to cut the split pipe and use the hose from the ACE with some jubilee clips...

The diff is in need of a full rebuild.. the okay in it is ridiculous..... that'll be a job that's a first for Me and the Mrs, For now we fitted a recently rebuilt diff I picked up for £90. Happy days. :):) The ACE system was took out by a previous owner... So removed the old double fluid...

Yea it's the part of the pump that the bolts thread into that snapped. Was an old pump I found in the shed so may have been thrown around for years... who knows haha Fitted another pump now, didn't have enough time to test as headed off to the LRO Show in Peterborough.

The wheel attachment on the power steering pump snapped. I fitted it saturday and I'm 100% certain I tightened them back up.. I did venture to the pub afterwards so maybe I rushed it and didn't or I over tightened.. how knows . Mate of mines a mechanic and he said just fit a new belt... Try it...

Hi all, Just added a D2 to the family, and was told had a Powersteering leak... Looked under the bonnet and noticed a hose missing off the ACE fluid side of the bottle. Any ideas where it normally leads too? Thanks

Ok thanks for the Info... The 19j I have was just the engine no rad etc so I will retro fit an oil cooler of some sort see how I get on.

Thanks for the reply turboman, There's a couple of engines locally that I've enquired about but if nothing comes of them I'll go with the 19j... I've heard fitting an intercooler and oil cooler can help with the over heating issues they suffer etc?
