    P38 - aircon question

Hi folks - thanks for your ideas so far : jt and wil - I will probably end up doing that - though a high pressure spurt from the valve led me to think maybe enough gas in the system - though I cant check how much of course. davie - I switched both condensor fan relays - no change - fans...

    P38 - aircon question

Hi all, No cold air from the vents - was hoping one of you more knowledgable members could point me in the right direction. Have done the usual search and only partly successful. The compressor does kick in - and the thinner pipe from the compressor heats up quite quickly. It was...

    P38 pillar/post interior trim

Hi folks, After I remove the flaking "fuzz" from the interior trims I was hoping to source some sort of covering for them - I could leave them cleaned up and plain or try and cover them with new leather ( could be a pain ). Ideally hoping for some sort of "clip on " solution maybe to match...

    eas pump "HOT"

hazlington - my compressor was running almost constantly , got hot then thermal cutout switch kicked in - EAS fault. Got a new EAS seal and opened the compressor - seal was torn so hardly pumping anything - hence compressor getting hot. Changed the seal - OK now. Or as datatek suggests you may...

    EAS manual overide

Hi, Continuing on from a previous topic re EAS a couple of questions if anyone has had the experience : 1. rangerover.net suggests turning on the ignition to run the compressor ( bridging two pins on the disconnected ECU connector of the EAS) - what would happen if the engine was running? 2...

    P38 - EAS Fault message

Hi spud - cheers - I am not getting a reading on my multimeter from pin 13 and ground. I am assuming pin 13 follows on from pin 8 along that row of pins. Also what would happen if the engine was actually running whilst the connector was off the EAS ECU whilst jumping pins 1 and 8 ? Just thinking...

    P38 - EAS Fault message

Hi, Suspension raised up somewhat with engine running . Appears to be no output from pin 13 - multimeter on AC or DC so I did not let the compressor run for too long - anyone had this ? Regards Alex

Hi all, Got the EAS connector/unit off - jumped 1 and 8 and the compressor runs. Ready with my multimeter to check pin 13 - silly query - am I measuring AC or DC ? Alex

    P38 - EAS Fault message

Hi, The compressor does not run now when the engine is running - is there a way to "jump " it so I can inflate the suspension ( not on bump stops now but with a leak somewhere it will be soon ) ? Then I can check for leaks. There was a seller on Ebay who stocked compressor refurb kit (...

Hi all, Had my first EAS "issue" this morning ! Only had the car a few weeks and getting an EAS lead with software etc was on my to do list -( or maybe some make of reset tool) plus doing a soap test and compressor refurb. I heard an "air hissing sound" yesterday evening - from the front of...
