    Disco 2 Rear Step Removal

Like it. Sadly, no angle grinder in my tool box and the missus nail files are spoken for. That said, I may just have to check out eBay as I'm sure these won't be the last bolts I have to do battle with.

Disco 2 New Handbrake & Low Range Gaiters Fitted

Another little project complete...cosmetic for sure. But, satisfying all the same. My 2001 TD5 Auto gaiters were looking pretty shabby - the handbrake one was basically just cloth, with all the pleather flaked off. A quick Ebay order from TopGaiters saw two new proper leather ones in the post...

    Disco 2 Rear Step Removal

Hi everyone. I thought I would take a moment to give back as I've received some sage advice recently on dealing with a TC issue. This is aimed at complete amateurs (of which I am certainly one) that don't really have any experience of spannering, so don't judge this too harshly, please. I...

Disco 2 Odd Traction Control Behaviour

Well, the tyre is repaired, the pressures are now equal 28 & 38 front & rear and the same type of tyre with almost identical wear are on the front axle...so now just wait and see if it happends. If I still get it, the spare is the same type of tyre, but with about 3mm more tread. I'll swap that...

Disco 2 Odd Traction Control Behaviour

Spooky. I have literally just come in through the door having checked the tyre pressures and the offside front is down again about 6psi, so I've got a leak (a bit of a theme with the truck). Whilst I was down there I had a peak at the sensor cables and the near side is new. I did have the...

Disco 2 Odd Traction Control Behaviour

Thanks Haystacks. I've seen the 3 amigos mentioned, now I've just learnt what they are. This would be bad. It does sound like this is a "feature" of Discovery ownership.

Disco 2 Odd Traction Control Behaviour

Hi Sierrafery, thanks for the advice. Yes, it has standard alloys and 255/55/18 tyres - ones an Avon (front nearside) and the others are Wranglers. Good point about tyre pressures. I did notice that the drivers front was low when I got it home in daylight one evening last week and it was down...

Disco 2 Odd Traction Control Behaviour

Hello folks. I'm looking for some guidance to help narrow down a problem with my 2001 TD5 Disco traction control. Only had it a week and I've no real experience of Disco TC. But, had plenty of other trucks and cars with TC. I'm no mechanic, but I think this is within my limits. Scenario 1...

    In from the cold...

Thanks Marmaduke. It's a TD5 and ATs are on the list, very near the top. I've done a local BOAT and I think I could have walked it faster! But, I giggled like a school boy all the way along it.

    In from the cold...

Hello Landyzoners! So, after nearly 30 years (yep that's right) of coveting Land Rovers, I finally took the plung and scooped my 1st Landy this week! I've had 'other' 4x4's and they've been the main family truck, so I've never taken it off-road, unless it's to park it! I'm about as...
