Honestly can't believe this still goes on. Knew about this issue years back but you'd think the market for facelift lamps would've relaxed as the cars have gotten older. Glad my D2 has the 1920s glass carriage lamps now!

I work odd hours so usually Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday, although it does change. The big test would be if my D1 actually makes it to Rotherfield!

Now don't I feel like a class k**bhead! Opened the bonnet this evening and immediately noticed that the plastic clip for the throttle cable was dangling freely in the wind like my brain! :cool: Clipped it back on and the truck is as good as new. Pulls like a train with the new lift pump! Thanks...

Drove it only a few weeks back, no sign of closure at that point. Almost got flattened by a grain carrier though! On the subject of the area I've spotted what seems to be a BOAT on Jevington Road coming out of polegate, any locals driven it?

That's the slotted pin with the locking nut on it on the underside of the IP isn't it?

Strangely, took the truck round the block this morning and shuts off fine - still idles at 1300rpm though, and it's constant - not hunting or chugging!

It's on order, I'll fit it when I'm back from holiday and let you know!
