Well after nearlly 18 months of being without a Land Rover and running a VR6 Golf i'm now on the look out for a cheap and cheerfull Landy (probably Disco with my budget). If you chaps know of one going please let me know.

If needed I'm more than happy to add my muscle and stunning good looks as i'm based in Much Hadham but am 4x4 less for the time being.

I'm just down the road in Much Hadham so will be up for tagging along. Quite a few green lanes that you can link up round my way (as you probably know) but they are not really anything special.

I have read somewhere (cant remeber now) that a Range Rover Classic steering guard will fit a Discovery one (200TDI) but just wanted to double check.....

After a snorkel, extended breathers and wadding plugs what other preparation / precautions have you guys taken to protect parts of the engine (also any other mechanical parts) from mud and water during off roading? Which parts do i need to look after how's best to go about it?
