Yes you do, as the starter motor bolts go in the clutch housing and that needs to come off to fit new clutch. As I remember, the starter motor can be quite a bitch to get off, but it certainly can be done. If you have spent money on a new clutch etc, and you're still experiencing problems...

The torque convertor has quite a lot in. You can buy the oil in 1litre too.

V8 engine oil: Long life or fully synthetic oil. ACEA - A3/B3; API: SJ, ECII and then choose viscosity band for temperature range of your locality. So 5/30 5/40 10/40 would be popular choices.

Check your manual. Page 273. You can use lots of oil. I recently changed mine and took ages to decide. I finally went for GM 5w/30 fully synthetic that will be changed every 7.5k. It's cheap on trade club and good oil. It also meets all the spec for the right oil.

Changed the coolant today, and just to confirm it did have green/blue in. I got about 13 litres in, may require a top up tomorrow though.
