Just bought me a De-EGR Kit

cheers guys. If i sheer it, can i drive it with just one bolt in (assuming i dont sheer both off?) i dont have tapping tuff? Is it best to do it with things hot or cold? In my head, things expand when warm so cold is better or is there another explanation?

Just bought me a De-EGR Kit

Bought a TD5 alive one - Quick Question or two after reading the fitting instructions: Have many people sheared off any of the bolts when trying to undo them? The Servo Pipe thing? Is this meant to open/close the EGR value? So just plugging in will do the trick? Im not going to loose the...

Does this sound like a Worn Clutch Release Bearing???

Yeah, it started making the noise the exact second after the master cylinder was adjusted, so just wandering if it could be anything else rather than something worn. My realease bearing does moan when cold as i said before so i know what that noise sounds like. Its a soft knocking noise, not...

Does this sound like a Worn Clutch Release Bearing???

When pedal out, no noise As soon as pedal depressed, and engine revs increased, a knocking noise - Which increases with revs. When drivivng all seems to be ok. So every gear change, this knocking noise is evident when the clutch is depressed. Release bearing does moan for first few gear...

    Clutch Pedal Noise

Hi, I have noticed recently that if i tap the clutch pedal very lightly, it makes a sort of rain drop hitting a bit of foil sort of rattle. Its only on the very top of the pedal in the slack before it goes hard. Cant hear this noise with the engine on, only when switched off. Also i have...

I live in the Alpes at the mo, my TD5 with ski rack on top gets about 20mpg, alot of running around the village and cold starts. When im at home, i get 32mpg. Prob just depends on conditions, where u are driving etc. Is it leaking diesel? i just replaced my Fuel Reg Valve, as mine was...

    Pimp my ride?

That clutch noise sounds like the clutch release bearing. My TD5 does the same. Apparently its a common prob, and nothing to worry about until it gets worse. Can last for years apparently, but when is goes it gearbox or engine out. Lovely!!!!

Thanks for the replies, i will give the bearing a go. Its strange because i cant hear the usual bearing whir, maybe its on the way out. Are the bearing serviceable/replaceable. I have a feeling on the TD5 disco, u have to replace the whole lot. Also these bloody french mountain garages, its...
