RAL code for Epsom Green LRC961?

I’m taking my new door to be powder coated in a few days and they want the RAL code for it. All I can find are the Land Rover paint code, which I don’t think are much help, and an STC code but I don’t even know what that is. Can anyone help me out?

Carpet lining the bottom and sides of loading area

So when we’re talking about backings are we saying to stay away from open cell foam because it will absorb water? I was thinking that rubber backing would cause water to sit and that something breathable would be better.

Carpet lining the bottom and sides of loading area

I'm sorry if this has been covered loads of times but I'm struggling to find the keywords to search for. The back of my 110 CSW is some big cold metal space right now. It's got no seats in and all the trim has been removed. I found this picture while I was searching this forum but now I can't...

    Existing soundproofing behind TD5 dashboard

So I want my TD5 to smell less like an old barn so I removed the dashboard and realised this would be a good time to think about reducing the noise as well. Having everything off I've found there's a load of black material behind the upper part above the footwells. It's looks like 4mm vinyl and...

Replacing read 110 upper side body panels and safari door

I've heard of a few people having issues, but where else am I going to get a galvanised door? I don't think I've seen anyone else selling them. Can anyone who's had a bad experience elaborate a bit? I've no idea what problems people have had, just a bunch of people saying they won't use them...

Replacing read 110 upper side body panels and safari door

So I'm replacing the upper rear side body panels on my 2000 110 and I'm going to do the safari door at the same time. The panels are windowed and I'm going to buy a solid window kit from Masai. The safari door is going to be from SP-4x4, one of the all galvanised ones. Can anyone check my...

110 CSW, replace C post or whole side assembly?

How involved is it? I haven’t been able to find anything about anyone else doing it, or a guide or anything. I’m removing a lot of bit to replace the rear upper side panels and the capping a in the not too distant future. I’m guessing it would be worth doing at the same time but how much more...

110 CSW, replace C post or whole side assembly?

So my C post is in pretty bad shape. I got quoted £600 - £1000 to replace the whole C post or about £400 just to cut out and replace the lower section. I can get the whole galvanised side section from YRM for about £500 each. I'm not really afraid of taking my 110 to bits but only so far as...

Alarm going off at night, fix or replace?

I realised yesterday that one of the rear windows was slightly open, I’m thinking this may have been causing it. I was looking into the Toad Ai606 as a replacement alarm but noticed that there was a thread about this alarm from 2010. Is really hope there was something a bit newer to replace it.

Alarm going off at night, fix or replace?

Hooking it up to a computer sounds more like my area of expertise. I’ll look into that, are there any guides anywhere? Does anyone have an answer to the question about a replacement alarm? What’s the go-to alarm at the moment?

Alarm going off at night, fix or replace?

I’ve only had it a few weeks. It happened the night I got it and it happened last night. I bolted straight out of bed and didn’t spot anyone around. It’s a pretty quiet street. It’s on my driveway with another car parked in front of it, it’d be quite difficult to get out with that there.

Alarm going off at night, fix or replace?

So a couple of times now my TD5 alarm has gone off around midnight, and it’s loud. My wife is unhappy about this so it’s got to be my priority job. I’ve been looking round and it sounds like the ultrasonic movement sensor might be what’s setting it off, triggered by changes in the temperature...

Double skinned rear upper body on 110?

I like that idea. Looking on eBay the sides don’t seem too expensive and I could prepare them before without having a Defender sat there with no roof. Plus I wouldn’t have to buy the window kit.

Double skinned rear upper body on 110?

Nice to have confirmation that I can look into removing it. It looks like there did used to be glass in there because it looks like the rivets were drilled out. Even the glass in the rear door has been removed, I’m guessing it was to stop animals from smashing it while being transported. I was...

Double skinned rear upper body on 110?

So I'm trying to make sense of the back of my SW 110. This is what the inside looks like: And the rest of it: It's a flat panel on the outside but it seems to sit slightly proud of the rest of the bodywork. also, on the inside the rivets look a little oddly placed but it does have a...

Do I need to reinforce the bulkhead on a Station Wagon?

    It’s a 110 Station Wagon.

Do I need to reinforce the bulkhead on a Station Wagon?

Thanks, that’s exactly what I wanted to hear. That steel bar I removed just became my cheater bar.

Do I need to reinforce the bulkhead on a Station Wagon?

So looking around the Internet I see that this appears to be normal on a Station Wagon. Looking around mine it looks as though the bulkhead might be behind the front seats and already have one of those reducing/reinforcing bars on it. Can anyone confirm this is how they’re done so I can drive...

Do I need to reinforce the bulkhead on a Station Wagon?

I don’t know the difference between them but I suspect not, I thought they were basically the same tub but the SW had windows in the upper body. How would I tell? I assume the partition is homemade.

Do I need to reinforce the bulkhead on a Station Wagon?

Another stupid question about my new Defender. So I bought a 2001 Station Wagon that had been converted into a Utility. I'm in the process of converting it back somewhat. There was a partition installed behind the rear seats where I thought the bulkhead would be but when I removed it there...
