In the end I just replaced the bushes at both ends of the panhard rod The parts were around a tenner delivered. The 24mm spanner to fit in the tight space to hold the nut was £3.75 It just needed a litre of plusgas and elephantine leverage to undo the nuts and bolts. Then it cost me...

I want to swap the simple dimming rear view mirror (from an ES premium) with a dimming+compass rear view mirror (from an ES). First, I'm not sure why the ES 'premium' seems to have a lesser mirror than the ES - is it lesser or am I missing something? Second, is the swap straight forward...

Cheers It turns out the noise can easily be recreated simply by going lock-to-lock whist stationary. I presume that being stationary precludes the liklihood of anything in the drive train.. I watched it a few times and the noise seems to come from the driver's end of the panhard rod...

I think the answer is - "Nope - You need to replace the offside front hub"... Both ways whilst turning at slow speed from left full lock to right full lock I am 'rewarded' with a very loud 'clunk'. It seems to be coming from the front driver's side. Other threads don't say just how loud...

Does anyone know the rave converter file called freerave_1.36.rar? Allegedly it has the power to convert the locked pdf files to unlocked pdf files. If this really exists and works it would surely allow any Android device to read the files. I fear it was vapourware.

Put a new air suspension bag on my D2, then spent another hour taking it off and scratching my head wondering why it had not worked before putting it all back on scratching my head lots more and then carefully closing the rear door fully! Aaarggh!

I found a flat car park and parked it next to another D2 which goes around corners ok. Bounced the front corners and she definitely wallowed around - rocking visbly side to side - a lot more so than the other one. So my diagnosis is shocks/dampers need replacing. I've not done the ACE...

What are the likely reasons for a discovery 2 to feel 'squidgy' as she goes into a bend? She's running on 18" Grabber AT's on a normal (rear air suspension) setup - she just feels 'wrong' when she goes round the bends. Is there anything I should think about to make her 'firmer'?
