I had this recently, no rain or wet just the simple fact that the button was not central in its hole on the s/wheel. I now check most days that they are `up` and central as to avoid being nearly down far enough to accidentally sound the horn.

thanks all for my help,i have the full egr kit, oval plate and metal tube on square base, i have no little bung/stopper but told small bolt and clip would do. i will fit this weekend and also take off rad to flush through.

Hi thanks for that, as my other thread says it turns out radiater light its not but exssessive water in diesel light, (sensor on filter)

I`m really intrested in this post, currently have overheating TD5 (may be water in fuel)about to go towing in a weeks time and have an unfitted egr plate that I want to fit this weekend but won`t incase it adds to my problems.

Is water in the diesel related to the temp gauge going up?
