As I said on the other thread this seems very low as good. Is 300 really a good pressure or a pressure for a rebuild. I would expect 500!

300 (20 bar) seems really low as a good value. I am used to 20bar as low and 34 as brand new on a |Nissan Patrol 2.8

What sort of compression pressure should I expect from a 2.5td. What would be the minimum before rebuild? Throwing oil into air filter, hard start and rubbish up hill. Pessures please if anyone knows them. Thanks

Yes. I am not new to this... just new to Landy. I have been an RD28 Nissan Patrol Man for years, just shifted camps! Recently completed rebuilt the Nissan then flogged it. Tempted to fit a 200tdi if the compression is not good.

I have my own tester. What pressure am I looking for? The heat, rest heat and start worked. Will test but need to know what pressure to expect? Any thoughts?

2.5td with 124K on the clock. A b**ch to start when cold. Often runs battery down which is nearly new. Have removed fuel lines and there is fuel to injectors. 12V at plugs... Any other thoughts? It is a smoker with lots at rocker cover and some light pressure from dipstick. Thinking compression...

Hi. Just opened up my air filter to clean and it was soaked in oil. Lifted oil filler/breather to air box and it is pushing out loads of smoke. White/grey colour. Any thoughts? Looks a bit excessive to be normal fumes from the engine. Engine is a 2.5 Turbo in a 1986 90. Any thoughts welcome...
