I have 145K on my V8 S Reg Disco 2. Its been LPG converted since 105K, and is still running very nicely.

What you need to do is measure the voltage with it ticking over. Then turn as much as possible on like main beam heated rear screen fog lights etc. then measure again, if your alternator is good the voltage will be the same, if not it will be lower.

I just bought this big bosch one from ebay yesterday, and fitted it today. Good value, and a bigger battery (both cold crank and hours) than was originally fitted to my V8 Disco 2, should be fine for the TD5 also.

Swapped my mirrors for powerfold ones and fitted the ECU, just ned to pickup the proper powerfold switch now. I have wired a push switch in for the moment

No need for a computer, I forget the exact wording but it's in the BCU section under Key Codes I think. It's the menu before sync key.

The original nanocom should be able to do key slots 1 & 2, but had a bug that meant 3, 4 & the suspension don't work correctly. I have done the first 2 slots fine. What version of firmware are you running on it?

I should have said before, its for a V8 not a TD5, so the 15w is out of spec, its need to be a 5w or a 10w.

The cheapest I can currently find 10w40 mineral oil is £14.39 (inc VAT) for 5L in Macro. Does anybody know any cheaper sources? I'm happy to buy around £100 worth to get a good deal. Regards Ben

Will check but it seems to be running down the high pressure pipe side ( and pretty much getting everywhere in the vicinity if it). So I think it's a very small leak, but because of the high pressure it's significant. Can the output on the pump get damaged so there us maybe a small scratch...

I have a leak in my ACE system. Its leaking from the pump. I assumed it was the washers on the banjo joint, so replaced them. But its made no difference, so tried again making sure everything was nice and clean, but still have a leak. Its not gushing out, but it will loose the entire...

How about bypassing the power fold ECU, and then make something else up that folds them in when the ignition is off? Probably just need a couple of relays. I don't have power fold mirrors, but it looks to me like you just put peer to them 1 way to fold them in, and reverse it to fold them out...

Your welcome :) Turns out I had to change mine again a few months ago as the motor completely shorted out and blew the fuses. Got a new motor under warranty, but still a pain to have to do the job again. Maybe I should have bought the entire assembly rather than just a cheap motor!

Your right about it not owing me much, although it did have a new head gasket a couple of years ago, but even thats paid back by now I guess :) And yes its not really a major amount of work that needs to be done, I guess its just finding somebody around Bristol who would be interested...
